Low AMH poor response to stims

Hey everyone I had my first scan today first round of IVF, I am day 7 of 300 meriofert. I have very low AMH recently turned 35 I knew I was not going to have many follicles as my AFC was 3+3. I have one on my left ovary 11mm, one on right 10mm and one 6mm. I have another scan on Friday, dr said they can’t increase medication and depending on scan Friday might cancel. I am really upset but trying to be hopeful, dr and nurse said it only takes one egg but obviously worried about how likely there will be an egg and fertilise. Anyone have any advice or positive stories?? Thanks so much, have to work today and can’t focus xx

Hi BEC. If you have to cancel this cycle, at least you will get to have another one. Make sure your follicles have grown sufficiently for egg collection before making any decision. Thinking of you. Diane

Hey Becio, hang on in there. Follicles can grow 1-2mm a day so yours may well get to where they need to be by your scan on Friday 🤞🏼And they will still grow after trigger as well for those 36 hours. I know how you’re feeling though and found the stims part so tough in terms of my follicle growth struggling and feeling disheartened after scans. But I got there and 3 of my 4 follicles were a good size by collection and contained 3 mature eggs. Do you know what your NHS funding criteria is? Mine was only one round and if cycle was abandoned then that was it, no more funding and couldn’t start again. So I possibly would have done through with trying collection if they were near enough size regardless because we would have had nothing to lose. However, most funding I think does allow another go on the NHS if you have to abandon before collection. Worth knowing to help you make the decision if you have to xx

Hi Nicolala thanks so much for you message that’s really helpful and means a lot! Yes I remember seeing you post! The hurdles never end do they? I am not sure if abandoned will count but will ask on Friday and like you said even if I have 2 push to go ahead! How did you transfer and TWW go? Xxx

Good luck with your scan today! Let me know how it goes. Got everything crossed those follicles have been working their little socks off to grow for you 🤞🏼🍀 Transfer was great. Not much dignity left by then but I was just excited to have the embie put back. Not gonna lie, the TWW nearly finished me off. I found it tough. Just the waiting, not knowing and not having anything to do and be working towards. I thought work would distract me from my mind but it was the other way round! Defo try and keep yourself busy and occupied with seeing people and doing things and watching shit TV!xx
