So I’m now day 16 of medicated cycle preparing for FET. Yesterday lining was only 6.37 so they are giving me until Monday to see if I can get to 7mm. I’m on 8mg progynova and patches every other day. I’m just really anxious as I have had one failed FET and the transfer was on day 22 and now this will be on day 23 of my cycle.
Has anyone had any experience of a successful transfer on either of these days? I’m worried it’s going to be wasted and not work again.
My clinic told me best results are day 18-20 but unfortunately my lining just won’t play ball and get there in time. They have said either day 22 or 23 is also fine??? Thoughts?
It’s so strange as when I was doing egg collection pre any of this IVF stuff that cycle my lining was already 9 so I have NO idea what’s going on now
Any advice or success stories hugely welcome.

Sorry to hear that your lining won’t play ball! It’s so frustrating, I know the feeling. From my experience (5 FETs), it’s true about days 18-20 being optimal, the two clinics I’ve used both said the same thing. Another thing to consider is that lining should be ideally at least 8. I know that 7 can work too but in the States, for example, many clinics won’t transfer if the lining doesn’t reach it.
With my final FET with the new clinic, they used estrogen injections twice a week and I also did raspberry leaf tea plus supplements recommended by It Starts with the Egg (special guide for FET). That cycle I got the best lining I’ve ever had (10.5) because before I was only ever getting to 7.5 and that’s with patches and progynova.
Maybe something to consider if this round is unsuccessful but of course wishing you lots of luck and all the best!! You have to trust your doctor so if he says it’s ok to go ahead on those days then it must be fine and he has the experience and data on his side.
