Progesterone Levels Too Low - Is My Fourth Transfer Ruined?

Hi All, I'm seeking some advice regarding progesterone levels. Here is the progesterone I've been on in my cycles to date:

Cycle 1 - 2 pessaries a day, bled the day before OTD, chemical pregnancy

Cycle 2 - 2 pessaries a day + 1 Lubion a day, BFP, miscarried at 5 weeks

FET1 - 2 pessaries a day + 1 Protest intramuscular injection every other day, no bleeding before OTD but another chemical pregnancy

FET2 - 2 pessaries a day + 1 Lubion a day...currently 3dp5dt

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am currently 3dp5dt and asked my clinic if I could have my progesterone levels checked on transfer day. They said it wasn't something they did and were against me having the test as, apparently, levels can 'fluctuate' and the test isn't 'highly accurate'. In the end, they reluctantly agreed that I could have the progesterone blood test 2 days after transfer so that, by then, I would have been on progesterone for 7 days.

I got a call from my clinic this morning and, blow me down, they said my level was 'marginally under' where it should be (at 52...no idea where it is meant to be). They told me to double my dosage of Lubion, so I am now taking it morning and evening, alongside the two pessaries.

I am so disappointed that I didn't check this sooner. Looking back, I'm starting to think that progesterone could have been a major issue for me all along considering I lose pregnancies so quickly after getting my BFP. I'm only 3 days into the 2ww and am now terrified that my chances have been blown again.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hey,

52 seems healthy to me... but that’s only because of my own experience. My clinic like it above 20 on transfer day, and mine was 40 and by 10dp5dt it was 45 and my clinic said that was perfect. I did go on to have a chemical pregnancy but I don’t think that was related to progesterone levels.

Try not to worry about the levels too much, you’ve increased your injections so hopefully this will have an effect. It’s still very early days so hold onto hope 🍀

Xxx

Different clinics want different levels. Mine asks for a minimum of 40 so you are fine with 52.

Clinic checked my progesteron level at a day of transfer... mine was 47 and as they wanted minimum 50 they asked me to add Lubion 25ml injection (I was already on Cyclogest 400mg twice a day)... I started Lubion 48h after my transfer... I am currently 12 weeks pregnant...

Clinic never wanted to check my progesteron again as they said that Cyclogest twice a day + Lubion will keep me on the right level...

I then checked the progesteron in the private laboratory (I paid much less than in clinic) and it dropped a bit but was still okay...

I have everything crossed for you🤞🤞🤞🍀🍍🧐
