Ive been diagnosed with adenomyosis and endometriosis and am feeling really devastated as was supposed to start a cycle next month.
Has anyone had ivf success with Adenomyosis? Does it now have to be a frozen transfer? Will it cause miscarriage?
Ive had 2 miscarriages before from natural pregnancies.
What are the do’s and dont’s with supplements etc?
Today for the first time i am feeling so defeated. Any advise would be much appreciated.

I'm so sorry to hear hear you've had bad news and are feeling very anxious. I have a very different story from yours. Because of male factor infertility I've had 3 cycles of IVF with donor sperm. I've always have had terrible problems with cycles and periods but because it was deemed that it was my partner with the issues, I never had more investigations than a HyCosy. I have every symptoms associated with endometriosis so after two failed rounds I kept bringing it up and the consultant kept telling me that for IVF it is ultimately irrelevant. His argument is that because it is such a undiagnosed issue there will be many women that have endometriosis or andomyosis and go on to have no problems falling pregnant. He also said that he has had women with severe problems that had absolutely no problems.
But there are things that can be done to help. I have no idea about supplements but IVF protocols with down-regulation can make a huge difference. From what I understand it does not need to be a frozen cycle and depending on your situation the doctor can proceed as normal. Sometimes removing some of the effected tissue can make a huge difference.
I'm now waiting to have further investigation (finally) before we proceed. I really feel it is important to have the accurate information. I hope your doctor will give you more information soon. Please don't feel defeated. I'm sure your clinic will come up with a good plan!

Hello,Thank you so much for your msg. I think like me, it can go undiagnosed for ages especiallu if its asymptomatic. I always knew something wasnt right but always told there is no endo. Fortunately the nhs doc referred me for a mri which was such a blessing, now i know. I wish you all the best with your journey xx
It's really good to hear your NHS doc helped you out and it was an MRI that found it. I feel worried about doing a laparoscopy so hopefully I can have one too. Xx
I was referred to gynae after my last miscarriage as i was having pelvic pain and wanted to get checked out. Ask your gp to refer you, sometimes it can be quick contrary to what we think. Also if you have medical cover via work, you maybe able to get some tests done. They wont approve it for fertility but if you want to investigate pelvic pain, they will cover you.
After my last (second) miscarriage (4th transfer- an FET) I begged my GP to refer me and she finally did. But while I was on the waiting list I moved to the Netherlands and I have to start again. I have an appointment later this month but I'm not sure how helpful it will be. I'm nearly 39 so I really need to rush this thing. It's so frustrating but still- I rather have investigations and possibly some answers that dismissing my gut instinct and just rush into the next treatment.
Hi I have just been diagnosed with mild localized adenomyosis and also a plug/scarring endometriosis between the back of the cervix and mid rectum via MRI. Did any of you do down Reg before IVF or FET if so how was it?
Appreciate this is an older thread but I've also suffered two miscarriages now going through IVF but been diagnosed with endo which has affected everything. Would love to know how everyone got on.xx
Long protocol, ICSI, AMH 10.6 and Adenomyosis - has anyone had any experience with this combination?
