Failed FET: very watery period

Hi all,

I started my period today after stopping meds on Friday following a negative beta test.

Was told to expect a painful period, and on our last failed fresh cycle I'm sure it was quite thick blood, but today its like water and bright red.

Has anyone experienced this? I've messaged the clinic to ask if this or normal and if it could give any indication why our cycle failed, but it would be great to hear if anyone else had the same thing?

Sorry to hear about your BFN 😔I’ve never had watery blood post FET but my periods have been lighter than I would expect after so much progesterone and a thick lining. I would see how it is today - it often takes a day or 2 to release the proper lining. X

Hi Meek. So sory to hear about your BFN and hope you've got plenty of support just now. I'm sure your clinic will give you good advice, but periods vary so much and is probably nothing to worry about. Diane

My normal periods contain lots of heavy clots (endo). So much so that the clots drop into the loo leaving my pads quite bare.

I'm on my 2nd period now following failed fet. It's bright red, no clots and very liquidy (not a word i know lol).

I'm filling my pad in a few hours (I'm heavy anyway so no concerns there). So whilst its not watery its certainly different to my normal.

Hormones have a lot to answer for lol x

Liquid, I think that's what I meant rather than watery. Interesting you are having a similar thing. I guess it's no surprise things aren't quite normal after being pumped so full of drugs! Sorry to hear about your bnf
