Ivf transfer, after Pain in ovary and back

Its mine 6dp 5dt and I am still feeling sudden sharp pain in ovary and back, what does that mean?? Why too anxiety 😟!

Hi am 5 dp 3dt and I have had ovary pain since day 3 am worried sick too. Hopefully it’s just all the hormones from pessarys x

Hi SumiashThis can sometimes happen will settle down. Make sure drinking plenty of clear fluids and taking painkillers. For extra reassurance phone your clinic and explain the situation

Hi Sumiash. You could be developing a urinary tractg infection, so mention it to your GP. Drink plenty of water to keep your urine clear. Make sure you don't get constipated as poo passing sore ovaries can be very painful. Obviously if it continues, you need to be seen. Hope all soon settles. Diane

It could be many things. My experience was, I had pain for many weeks after transfer but especially the first two. A week after transfer I had to go to hospital because I had sudden sharp pain so intense that I felt like fainting. There was a 10cm cyst on my right ovary that had developed because of IVF, I also had Overstimulated ovary syndrome, . Still it did not explain the very intense, sharp pain, which they said it might have been a burst follicle. But I could understand that the pain was coming from the ovary, though my ovary was in higher position that usual due to IVF.

On the other hand, whenever I had urine infection, it went straight to kidney within two days, which is felt on the back as well, so better to be seen in hospital at this moment
