Sex night before embryo transfer

I have read a couple of reports which say sex before a transfer can help with implantation rates?

Any opinions? ❤️

Hi Srattonsuzy,

I was told by my clinic not to have sex a few days before my transfer date and even after my transfer date. I got pregnant both times but a successful pregnancy the second time.

The second time I didn’t have sex up to 3 months after I got pregnant. This was a personal choice due to fear of having another miscarriage but do whatever your heart tells you.

Each clinic has different rules and instructions. You could ask your clinic what they think.

Hi Suzyyyyyyy my acupuncturist actually recommended having sex within 3 days after embryo transfer. The man has to orgasm (not necessarily the woman) so that our insides re-familiarises itself with their DNA. I did it this time and got my first BFP. Whether it was the intercourse or not I'm not sure. Best of luck xxx

We always did it the night of ovulation when doing a non medicated FET. I never wanted to do it the night before transfer though - I think I was too worried about it being “messy” down there when they come to do the transfer 😬

Had sex night before transfer and u have to orgasm only Because that brings blood flow to the uterus which helps with implantation.

Yep! Either sex or by yourself but it's the orgasm that helps bloodflow to the uterus which helps the transfer the next day.
