22 day cycle - worried I'm starting perimenopause

Hello everyone,

I started my period today and my cycle was only 22 days long. I'm 37. I got a blood test 2 years ago which showed that I wasn't perimenopausal. I'm planning on starting ivf next year because we are getting married this year. My cycle has been usually 25 to 27 days since my miscarriage 2 and a half years ago. Shall i contact my ivf clinic?

Is there hope if I am perimenopausal?

Have you tried tracking ovulation to work out which part of your cycle is short?

My cycles got shorter after my second miscarriage. I was tracking ovulation so I knew it was my luteal phase which was getting shorter. I ended up taking progesterone on cycle day 21 to 28 to help.

I will try tracking again. I found it too stressful so I stopped. Does a gynaecologist or a doctor at an ivf clinic have to prescribe progesterone?

Sorry you find tracking stressful. I just took my temperature when I woke up and gave up on the the ovulation test as they didn’t work for me.

My progesterone was prescribed by a doctor.
