Over lock down I have went through two ivf treatments, first: long day 21 protocol, which ended after eggs were one day in lab & Second: flare protocol- managed to get one embryo, done the 2ww which ended in a BFN.
My AF arrived few days after and was awful, so much heavier, awful sharp cramping and lasted days longer than my normal cycle.
It has been two weeks since i done the test and I am still having hot flushes in middle of night and a lot of headaches.
Did anyone else suffer these symptoms and if so how long for?x

Thank you for replying, I am hoping to have my review appointment with the clinic soon, I will definitely be asking the doctor then. Hope you are doing alright Millbanks, take care x
It is made worse by the physical affects after a cycle. I had hot sweats really bad after my first fresh transfer failed. They went on for a week or more. Headaches too. But after a month I felt pretty back to normal I also had a normal cycle too. I was surprised by that.
I have recently had a failed FET and I had hot sweats during the night very early on after transfer. They continued for a little while after my BFN and bleed but no way near as bad as last time. It’s been two weeks now and my body is feeling ok. Just the emotions to manage.
I think your body is just dealing with the medication it does horrible things to our bodies. Hopefully your body will reset and the symptoms disappear it sometimes take time.
Thank you so much for replying, just to know it not uncommon for these side affects puts my mind at ease.
I am so sorry to hear about your failed cycles. It is hard to deal with the physical pains following it but as u say trying to manage the emotions is something else all together.
I did counselling following the first failed cycle, this can be beneficial as opening up to someone you don’t know can be easier.
But after this one I feel so much more lost and broken.
Thank you again for reaching out and sharing it nice to speak with someone who understands this crazy rollercoaster.
I think I need to try acupuncture to de stress and reset. I have tried reflexology on myself but think I need to try something else. In the process of making some diet changes.
This journey is long and complicated and we all need reassurance and someone to understand what we are going through.
