3rd cycle

This will be our 3rd cycle. I have started taking the norethisterone tablets. They have increased my stimms on Gonal f this time to hopfully get more eggs. I got as far as transfer last time but it didn't result in pregnancy unfortunately. I feel pretty chilled at times and I'm trying not to think about any negative thoughts. It certainly does get harder each round that's for sure. Has anyone else had any similar experiences or any tips would be most appreciated 😊

I don’t think it’s gets harder. I think results tend to improve as docs can change medications to try to minimize the causes of previous failures. And there is some positive effect of previous cycles in the following one of close enough.

Harder in terms of going through the treatment and putting everything in to it to get a fail but hell Yes there is that one as I had different number of eggs from both my previous cycles. I had 7 from the 1st. Non fertilised. Had 4 from the second and two fertilised 🤯 so gone back to a higher dose to the 1st stimms as we got more eggs. Thank you 😁

Hi Elizabeth, wishing you lots of luck. I don’t think any 2 cycles are the same so I try to stay chilled and just see what happens... I learned that the hard way by expecting the same number of eggs from cycle 1&2 and boy were they different!! Xx

Hiya millbanks. Couldn't agree more as it's a numbers game isn't it. I will just wait and see what the transfer brings 😊 I know its madness isn't it. Wishing you all the luck on your journey xx

The more I go through with ivf, the more I think it truly is a numbers game and you just have to hold your nerve!! Best of luck xx
