3 cells embryo on day 3

Hey all,

Looking for honest reviews.

I have had 3 cells embryo transfer on day 3 today and I am just not sure if I should still have hope.

Please pour ur experience if you have had any, positive or negative

If I’m being honest my clinic wouldn’t have transferred a 3 cell on day 3.....8 is the optimum cell number I believe - less than 5 cells has a low chance of progressing and the same with more than 10. I know that’s not great news from meBut I’d rather be honest than give you false

What did you clinic say? Did they grade them

I've never had a 3 cell at day 3 end up as a blastocyst. You should have 6-10 cells by day 3 so I would say the likelihood of success is not very high.

Hi there, we had two four cell embryo transferred on day three for me. It looked like they had stopped growing. But it worked for me, both did implant, however only one baby survived. I’m now 31 weeks! My embryologist said that sometimes they can be really slow growers esp if you’re older (I was 36). You never know as ivf is still not an exact science!!
