Hey am unsure what l-arginine is but if it’s Chinese herb my clinic has told me not to take any Chinese herb xx
Hi lovely I took it ..I think 1000mg if i remember as read good for thin lining and if vegetarian to take more?
I didnt have a FET but it did work and I got naturally pregnant when taking it xxx
I'm thinking of starting Proceive Max (we intend to start IVF in late summer) and I know there is 500mg of l-arginine in it. I intend to ask the clinic when we have our consultation if it's okay to take. I know in Rebecca Fett's Book 'It Starts with the Egg', she mentions women take it to improve their eggs but sites evidence against taking it. Here's a link to one of the studies she mentions - pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/118... As you can see, it isn't a great study. Best of luck with your FET.
Just to throw an alternative out there, I saw a Nutritionist who recommended Nutri Advanced pregnancy supplements (I think it doesn't have L-arginine). She also suggested Wild Nutrition for omega 3.
Thank you BellyFlop for your reply. These sites often leave me with more questions 🤪 Best of luck to you too xx
Hi Spates, I just saw I have it in my fertility supplement. I’ve been taking them for 2.5 months. I can’t be sure it’s the reason, but I’ve been getting a good lining earlier on in my last 2 FETs. I didn’t start them early enough for my egg collection so not sure if it helps egg quality. But also been drinking lots of raspberry leaf tea so could be that also, it’s so hard to know! It wasn’t specifically recommended by my clinic, but please share if you have any other info xxx
Something has definitely made a difference as in a natural cycle my progesterone levels are also double what they usually are. Regarding the raspberry leaf I’m only taking it up until transfer as I know that pregnant women take it to induce labour, so it doesn’t make sense to me to take it once the embryo in is. Good luck to you too, let’s hope we’ve found the secret 😂🤞🏽Xx
Yes I believe that the tea can cause the uterus to contract so best not to take it when the little embryos are onboard xx
I found this that was quite interesting - sprinklesandseasalt.com/fro...
Oh that is interesting.. and confirms what I read about not drinking it after ovulation, which is 5/6 days before transfer. So much to take into account! I sometimes worry about taking new things which is why it would be good to know more about the L-arginine as well xx
