Delay periods
Any chance you could be pregnant? Sometimes supplements can change your cycle length.
I’ll check on my 15 day after missed period so I can get accurate results
Hi Birdy. Don't forget some Vitamin D too. Have you done a pregnancy test?? Diane
Hi Birdy
Last year I started to take seven seas, they were fine and I had no problems. At my NHS IVF funding app in Decemeber they told me to take pregnacare so I switched.
My period that month was 4 days late, (I was so excited thinking I might be pregnant but alas no),and really light, the month after I had seriously bad ovulation pain and my period was 3 days late, again really light. At this point, and after much Googling, I stopped. If you do a general search you will find many women have problems with pregnacare (they actually have a warning on the box to say the supplement can change your cycle!). I think it depends on the woman cos I also know there are many that have not had issues.
When I stopped, my period that month was about 2 days late (I stopped halfway through a cycle), the month after back to normal and this is the 2nd month off, again back to normal 29 days on the dot. Also back to normal flow for me.
I take a different brand now 'bud fertilty'I took ages researching what to take and eventually settled on this one. It has the natural version of folic acid (folate) and other really important vitamins in good dosage amounts. Pregnacare has loads of vitamins but some are silly high amounts (check the B6) and some are such small amounts that it prob makes not much difference and can be obtained from food. They also turnt my urine bright yellow! (Generally a sign of vitamin overload)
If you feel your delay is due to pregnacare then stop taking them and you will likely see a return to normal within a month or two.
Best of luck x
