Acne after failed IVF

Has anyone else had really bad acne specifically around the chin after IVF? Mine failed unfortunately last month and I cannot bare even looking at myself in the mirror. I want to contact the doctor about it but am worried that they will just do the standard give me antibiotics or some horrible cream. I want to get to the root of the cause. I personally think I could have PCOS of some kind as it did start just before my IVF cycle. I am just not really sure where to turn apart from a dermatologist which costs the earth. Any help would be recommended. Many thanks

Hi Leanne. I am sure your clinic/specialist would be aware if you do have polycystic ovaries. Just be brave and speak with your GP, just in case it is something that can easily be cleared up. Thinking of you. Diane

Thanks Diane. I have called the doctor and they have said they don't think it is that but will run some bloods and see what comes back as some people with PCOS do not have cysts. Who knows!
