Clinic abroad advice

Hi!

I’ve just received a third BFN and am feeling like I need to start thinking about what’s next in order to feel productive. I am considering changing to a clinic abroad and would be really keen to hear any of your experiences - I don’t know where to start!

I don’t have very good egg quality and require a sperm donor (same sex couple). In previous egg collections I’ve had between 8 and 13 eggs collected, they fertilise well but by day 2 I’m usually left with just 2 and end up with an early transfer.

I’m considering a donor embryo as this may hold more hope and would give my body a break.

I’m 38 and would be happy to travel to anywhere with positive track records. I am also a school teacher and therefore I am limited to school holidays.

Hi. I am so sorry to hear your news. Did you try with the same sperm donor each time? They usually say egg does the work first 3 days and then sperm takes over after that. If it’s an egg issue are you looking at egg donor too? Or just want to travel abroad for the cost?

We are looking at the possibility of using donor embryos. I’ve read that some clinics abroad have higher success rates so just thought it could be worth a look
