Cetrotide before ET

Hello everyone ,

Wanted to ask a question if some of you beautiful ladies can give me any info . My RE started me on cetrotide 3 injections for 3 days then estrofem ... i am preparing for ET and day 2 period now .. does anyone have experience why its given before ET ? I know its given during stims to prevent ovulation but before ET ? Does preovulation also affect the ET process or implantation process, any info would be appreciated

Hey Wishingforabump I was on Cetrotide and estradiol for a week before my FET and asked the same question - nurse said the cetrotide keeps everything calm. So yep I think you’re right, that pre-ovulation could mess with the transfer...

It’s to stop natural ovulation... I’ve had to take it every FET x

Hi HMKing , yes i know it is to stop ovulation but i wanted to know why given before transfer .. does ovulation affect transfer ! That was my thoughts 💕

Well most people will ovulate around the half way point of their cycle and a transfer is usually cycle day 19 onwards or whenever there ERA results tell them to have the FET. So it’s to do with hormones changing to quick... that’s what I was told as I asked these questions too as I really wasn’t sure x
