Falling pregnant naturally after failed IVF treatments?!

Question - if falling pregnant fails with IVF with all the hormone support etc is there any hope of failing pregnant naturally?!

My failed FET has hit me hard this time and I’m losing all hope.

It’s possible. Of course it’s possible - I’ve heard plenty of stories of women who tried for years, had IVF (successful or not) and then fell pregnant naturally. It hasn’t happened to me.... but it happens! A woman I work with ttc for 5 years, 4 rounds of IVF, finally had her little miracle then fell pregnant again while still on mat leave 🙃 there’s always hope. But I know how tough it is, infertility is a very dark place.... try and keep your head up and take good care of yourself x

Hi there, it definitely depends on your reason for infertility. I was very lucky to have this happen to me the month after my 2nd failed cycle in December - so it can happen but it was very unexpected for us as we had been ttc for 3 years without a single bfp in that time x

I had a friend who had ten cycles (don’t ask!) and never had a viable pregnancy on those... Then she fell naturally. Had a gorgeous boy, had four more cycles of IVF to try for a sibling. No luck. Then fell naturally again when the first LO was ten!

I know several people who had failed IVF transfers and got pregnant naturally within a couple of months.....

Just madness isn’t it?! Why can’t it just work for us all 😫😤😂

It would be lovely if it did! Don’t give up hope - ivf is so exhausting and it sucks it doesn’t guarantee a baby either. Take your time to grieve on your failed cycle and you’ll find that you’ll know when you’re ready to try again. Wishing you lots of luck for when that happens xx

Nooo don't give up hope. Soo many ivf cycles are failing in general. I did 3 cycles. First egg collection zéro mature eggs, was like slap in the face and thought never ever I will get pregnant. Another egg collection only 1 mature egg in the freezer. 🥚1 EC got cancelled as some follicles miraculously dissaperared so only 2 were visible. So converted to natural conception in the same cycle and got pregnant now 15 weeks pregnant. Don't give up hope. I am 37 with very low amh. Lots of hugs. It will happen for you too 💕

I had one failed cycle and then one cancelled second cycle after egg collection. I am now 11 weeks pregnant which was natural, we still can’t believe it’s has happened.

Hi, yes it’s possible we tried for three years before going down the ivf route. Some cancelled cycles due to my body not behaving properly, a very long year last year. Ended up with severe OHSS so had to have a freeze all in August. Finally had an FET with a top grade embryo at the end of November and two weeks later found that it hadn’t worked. We were devastated. Then two weeks later after some horrible cheap plonk on New Year’s Eve some sort of magic must have happened and I’m now 9 weeks pregnant and all going well so far. Still in shock after the most awful year but I guess my body was maybe trying to stubbornly tell me to leave it alone for a bit. I know it will not be that common to be that lucky but if you have a diagnosis of unexplained infertility I guess there is always hope ❤️
