Has anyone taken clomifene 50mg I will be taking them soon

Is that Clomid? If so then yes. I have PCOS and started with 50mg which didn’t work then increased to 100mg which worked a couple of times but my body “got used” to it so I had to increase again.

What are your concerns? I didn’t have any side effects even with the higher dosage but I know some people who did.

I would like to get pregnant soon I'm turning 45 this yr

I’m sorry it’s been so hard. Clomid will help you ovulate but ivf would probably give you more chances. Sadly I think NHS only funds cycles for under 40s so it would need to be private.

I know is hard but try to keep positive.

Hey Lucy! I have taken it (I have PCOS) and conceived on the very first round on 50mg (currently 17 weeks pregnant). I had no side effect from it whatsoever other than it really thinned my uterus lining but somehow I still fell pregnant which was very lucky. I would advise taking it before bed at night to sleep through any side effects if you do get any. I think the % for ovulation on clomid are something like 80% so you have a very high chance to ovulate on it and if there are no other issues with you / your partner a good chance of getting pregnant. I was given 3 rounds of clomid - fell pregnant the first round but it ended in a chemical pregnancy and then the 2nd two rounds nothing happened. Wishing you all the best xxx
