I just spoke to my clinic as my period is due next week so want to get booked in for another FET. The last one I started spotting the day before my OTD and the previous one the day after I got a BFP. I can’t understand why they wouldn’t recommend changes to the protocol!
I’ve asked for a consultation to discuss this as I want to hear their reasoning but I’m wondering what I should ask or if there’s anything specifically I should mention??
This is my last frozen embryo so want to make this one stick!!

I would definitely ask for a progesterone test on day of transfer to check your levels. I didn’t have mine done by my previous clinic for three cycles and when I moved for my fourth, they tested it and found it was low so I had progesterone injections as well.
Hi this is interesting as I have a short luteal of 10-11 days. I had mine tested day of transfer before using progesterone and it was 56.5 mmol/L is that high enough? X
4 fet cancelled because has fluid... and then i need undergo laparoscopy surgery to clipped my tube if it’s make the fluid ( another observation) then this 5th times no fluids but same medication... and consult not saying or do much.. today my 9dp5dt blood test they said is bfn and need to stop meds... but my guts telling me i still have my embie here coz i feels still twinges... i speak with them why not try to test on 11 or 14 coz might stick later and why 9.. they can’t answered and just said that it 2 weeks of past ur periods... so totally wasted of money this clinic’s... i feel what all x patient told about this clinic is true.. make me want to move clinic asap..
Oh that’s rubbish the clinic are not hearing your concerns my testing date at my clinic after 5 day transfer is day 11. Hope you get it all sorted keep your chin up hun x
I’ve had two failed cycles as well, starting my third with a medicated FET next month.
I asked about change to my protocol but my consultant said it’s not the protocol that’s the issue, she said I respond well to drugs and have a good lining so they wouldn’t change of that. The only thing she’s happy to check this time at my request is my progesterone levels the day before transfer, and I’ll have two embabies transferred this time vs one.
I asked about ERA testing, NK cells etc. and my consultant wasn’t on board with them. She said she thinks it’s unnecessary. I don’t dare ask about endometrium scratch as I can confidently say that will be a no!
She said I’ve had bad luck and is confident it will work for us. I have to trust she knows what she’s doing so I’m giving this another go it’s the hope it works.
If you trust your consultant, then give it another go the way they advise. If you don’t, then push for further tests that you’d like to explore? Xx
That’s the thing, I’m sure they know what they’re doing I’m just so worried this time as it’s my last embryo. Can only wait and see what they say I suppose.
And that’s natural, I’m worrying too .. it’s quite scary so I understand why you’re feeling the way you are. Did they indicate why they thought it hadn’t worked? I started with that question, and asked if I should change protocol etc. See what they say. Best of luck xx
