We've just had out G4M2 Careunity test results back and it's came back negative for the gene mutation that has been found to cause implantation failure and miscarriages.
We have had 4 FET transfers and they've all been negative. We have 2 embryos left to try before contemplating PGS embryo testing on a new batch of embryos.
Can anyone give advice/share experiences of PGS testing?
Thanks

5 embryos tested, 2 discarded - I transferred a PGS normal embryo and still had a miscarriage.....so whilst I would say PGS is worth it, there is no guarantee xx
Hiya its a test my clinic offer. If you Google care fertility unity test it comes up. It's a genetic test to see if you have a gene abnormality that's linked to implantation failure x
Did you check if you have blood clotting disorder as well like Factor 5, thrombophilia screening etc., just out of curiousity?I had PGS test done on 5 of our blastocysts and I do not regret for choosing to do that, even the outcome was the same just another biochemical pregnancy. 3 came back normal, 1 mosaic transferrable and 1 abnormal that was discarded. My advice to you is to do another fresh cycle and test all of them in one go, it will save time, money and unnecessary worries. I was also worried that we are not producing chromosome normal embryos after having 2 chemicals but we were wrong. All the best 💓🤗
The care unity test is basically testing for sticky blood. We have decided to see how our last 2 embryos go and potentially test the next batch. Our only problem is I had 6 viable embryos on the first round all top grade. The total cost could be £3-4k if we get the same amount of embryos again, which is a big gamble if they all come back normal like every other test we've spent money on so far.
Top graded embryos doesn't mean euploid embryos. My 5AA is a mosaic and my 5BC is normal. I prefer to spend my money to have all the tests and after that to try again instead of transfering without having any succes. Testing not guessing 😁 We also did so many tests in the past 5 years and all came back normal. I am planning to have 5 more genetic tests in next coming weeks 🤞🍀I wish you good luck with whatever you decide 🤗♥️
We did PGS testing after 4 failed FETs. Out of 15 embryos 10 were normal and one was a usable mosaic. I am happy we did it because like yourself, we were at a loss as to what else could be wrong. Transfer #5 worked so far with the PGS tested embryo (plus we changed protocol a lot and did ERA, which I see you’ve already done). I think it’s worth doing for sure
Hi Montgomery2, I had 9 good embryos PGS tested and 3 came back with no abnormalities. Im 42. I don't regret spending the money as its another thing to rule out. I dread another misscarriage with an untested embryo so this makes me feel more optimistic but I kbow its not fool proof. X
Thanks. Our doctor has advised us it will just shorten the time it takes to potentially get pregnant. I'm yet to have a positive pregnancy test at all despite being off birth control for 5 years and 4 embryo transfers. He has left the choice to us but advised to cross the bridge when we get to it. X
