Hi everyone! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and new year.

I’m almost recovered from coronavirus and as soon as my test was negative I went for an ultrasound to check on my baby, thank god our baby was ok, measured 9 weeks and 3 days😍

I’m going to be 10 weeks tomorrow and my clinic protocol for stoping progesterone injection after FET is to be stopped at 10 weeks. Same as Arovi. Progynova And Cyclogest to be tapered from 12 weeks...

I’m quite nervous as some clinic continue till 12 weeks, I have enough medication, shall I continue till 12 weeks? I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts and advise.

Thank you all 😘😘

Hi Linda,

I continued progesterone until 12 weeks when pregnant with my little girl. I was really nervous about stopping, but the consultant understood, reassured me it and it was all fine. By around 10 to 12 weeks the placenta is producing enough I believe. I know other ladies, probably on this forum too, who have stopped around 10 weeks and that seems OK too. I don't think there's any harm continuing with it but of course I'm not a medical professional so bear that in mind!

Wishing you all the very best for the rest of your pregnancy.

Hi, thank you so much for writing to me. As you know every step of IVF journey is as stressful as the next.. I don’t understand why some clinic ask to continue lubion till 12 weeks and some till 10... I’m tired of injections for sure but I don’t want anything to harm the pregnancy as well...Thank you again dear xx

Hi Livinginhope101! Just a quick question please! When you continued until 12th week, did you stop just as you entered the 12th week or at the end of 12th week, please? I’m now 11week 4 days and wondering what I should do! Thanks!

Hiya, I can't quite remember as it was a couple of years ago now, but I think I stopped at the end of the 11th week, maybe even a couple of days into the 12th week. I really wanted to be sure everything would be OK.

I can totally relate to your trepidation though. Stopping the progesterone seems like a massive step, especially as you've been injecting everyday for months now... Its hard psychologically to really believe you don't need it anymore, but honestly, it was all fine.

Do you what you need to to feel confident, there's no harm in a few extra days if that's what you need.

Wishing all the very best with the rest of your pregnancy xx

Hello! Just seen this! I’m in the same position! I’m nervous but was told to stop my cyclogest as I approach the 12th week (thus my last one will be on the last day of the 11th week)... some ladies seem to have stopped completely in 11th week without weaning so hopefully it will be ok but I’m feeling nervous but also somewhat excited that I can finally stop!

Thank you for writing to me dear, I decided to continue till 11 weeks at least, I didn’t feel comfortable with cutting meds at 10 weeks!
