False positive after FET??

So...... I promised myself I wouldn’t do it after having a chemical in august but I’ve just taken an early first response test..... I had a frozen embryo transfer last Tuesday (so don’t know how many days that makes me, so I include day one as transfer day?) and my test date was for this Saturday (2nd jan) two lines appeared..... one faint but there....... I am taking progesterone twice a day and 10mg of progynova tablets.

Can this be a false test???? There can’t be any HCG in me from the meds like there was in a fresh transfer??

Hey, I think you are 5 days post, you can get a positive this early for sure, now that you test early let’s stay positive. I had chemical pregnancy before too and it was an awful experience for sure.... as far as I know with frozen cycle you can’t get a false positive and having one chemical doesn’t mean you will have another one.

Repeat the test in two days time to see if the line is getting darker. Hopefully it will 😘😘

I’m so sorry for your chemical, I agree, it was the worse experience I have ever had and always thought a positive is a positive and that’s it. I’m was so scared that I’ve tested early and given myself false hope. I am so scared of having another chemical. I just said that I would like either a false or a positive that sticks no heartache in between. But that isn’t IVF is it.

I haven’t had any symptoms like I did before and over stretched this morning and now have stomach cramps (another worry)

Thank you 😊 I know how you feel, I ended up testing everyday and then go for three blood tests. Sometimes I think why can’t I be just happy and hopeful after my pregnancy test like my friends.... I’m praying for you. Xx

I had a chemical in Aug I tested 7 days post 5dpt this time and every day I’ve got a pos, my test day is tomorrow. I don’t feel like I can get excited until tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you it’s not and you can celebrate soon xx

Thank you for replying. I know how you feel.... I’m too scared to “plan ahead” in my mind, if that makes sense? They say it’s rare to have two chemicals in a row but google and people’s responses say otherwise. Would just like some symptoms and maybe I would relax a little.Wishing you good news and I have everything crossed that you have a very happy ending ❤️

So I’ve just been to the toilet and I’ve got blood in my discharge and now heaviness in my left side...... sure an implantation bleed doesn’t happen after a positive test??? Now crying thinking it’s another chemical

Hi, try to relax and not stress yourself sometimes it happens I bleed for one day with clot for few hour and then it stopped I was put on bed rest for the first few months now my daughter is 2 years old

It’s quite normal, to spot / bleed . My fertility specialist told me Ivf are more likely to spot or bleed because the meds make your womb/ uterus more sensitive. So please don’t panic x
