Iβm good thanks hun. About to start my next transfer but battling Xmas closure dates of my clinic. Knowing our IVF luck Iβll start my cycle this weekend when my clinic is shut π₯΄. Itβs just one thing after another but weβre going to have a good Xmas either way!! Sending lots of love for your Xmas too xx
My last clinic told me I needed to have 3 normal periods (not including the miscarriage bleeding) after my MMC before I could have any more treatment, Iβd have been having another full round of ivf though so not sure if the guidance would be slightly different for FET. I canβt imagine it would be any longer than that though. I also had COVID during my 3 months after the MMC but didnβt know about it until antibody testing at work showed I was positive. The covid thing wouldnβt make me delay if youβre now fully recovered. Ultimately the decision is up to you as to when the time is right to go ahead with another transfer. If youβre feeling well and healthy then thereβs nothing I would see that would suggest youβd need to delay. It just needs to be the right time for you. If you still feel youβre getting over the covid then perhaps a bit of time to get back to your usual health might be of benefit. You know your body better than anyone else though and what itβs capable of.
Wishing you all the best for this Christmas, a happy new year, and hopefully a massive loss of success when you decide to go ahead with your next transfer. You deserve all the happiness xx
Thank you so much for this. Iβve had three cycles after the surgery so what youβve said makes sense. I think Iβll enjoy Christmas and get back on track in January . Maybe February will be ok . See what they say.
Sorry to hear youve had a rubbish time! After my miscarriage i took a few months out to regroup (my clinic also said 3 cycles but i needed that time emotionally anyway). I ended up having another fet 4 months later.
I have also had covid recently and it knocked me for 6. Even after the 2 week recovery it took me a little bit longer to feel back to my normal self. Hope you are feeling better now! I think enjoying christmas and then getting back to it sounds like a good idea xx
COVID hung around with me for 5 weeks. I would start to feel better then worse again. So you may want to make sure you're 100% before you plan. As for the MMC I think if you feel ready for another transfer you should go for it. Sorry you've had a rough time π
I would call your clinic as our clinic asks lots of questions about COVID including whether we had had it and if so whether we had proof we no longer had it. Each clinic will have their own protocol. Best of luck x
I suggest you check with your clinic about time after COVID. It is possible they may want multiple negative swabs before you can go in due to the potential for persistent viral shedding. See what they say - they may be fine after the 14 days Good luck xx
Oh how funny , I can teach a load of kids from 11 days after but Iβll need several swabs for a service Iβve paid for π this world is insane right now ππ€£π
Oh ffs Rhinocatβ¦..covid on top of what your loss, can a lassie not catch a break?!π€¦ββοΈ My clinic said 3 bleeds after a loss and then you can get back on it if you feel up to it. Im sure they wont tell you to go away if you wanted to enquire about timescales and get your name down on a list, you may have a wait once its on there so best to find out sooner than later. I hope you are well enough to enjoy the festivities and wishing you all the best for 2021.xx
Thanks pet, how are you? Iβm feeling ok now. Bit tired but fine really. At least Iβve done the three bleed thing ππ€£ got a fab letter from my nhs turn telling me it would be 19 months before I get my turn π₯³
Good grief that is some wait for your NHS go, bet you're glad you're not waiting for that!! Glad to hear that you are almost feeling back to normal. Im doing ok thanks, time is ticking away very slowly but all seems to be as it should be for now. Have a nice Christmas lovely.xx
Hey RhinoCat, oh Iβm so sorry youβve had Covid too. What a rotten year! Good that you can move into next year and start afresh really soon. After my mc I was told to wait for 2 x periods afterwards so if your clinic is the same then youβre good to go in that respect. As for Covid, I think the thing I signed at my clinic said something about waiting for 4 weeks afterwards if you test positive until any procedures, I could be wrong but vague memory. Every clinic is different of course. Hope you can start soon! Have a restful Christmas xxx π
Hi RhinoCat, I'm.sorry that you have covid too. I'm not sure about covid and assume once you get a negative or after 14 days you should be ok.
With both my miscarriages I was told 2 periods after the miscarriage bleed. After my first miscarriage lockdown happened and everything was closed anyhow. However, when we were meant to start our icsi fresh cycle. My period came a week early so I didnt feel confortable starting the fresh IVF and waited another period cycle to start. After my second miscarriage I was told to wait again 2 periods after my miscarriage bleed but in the meantime I had my embroyos tested and they were abnormal. We are currently trying naturally in the hope that we do get our miracle this year but next year, we will decide if we are switching clinics and continuing with IVF. Good luck with your fet, prayers that we all hold our little miracles in 2021 xx
Thanks for this. Hopefully my 3 will be enough. Iβd like to maybe go February or March . See how we go π€·πΌββοΈJust got my letter from my nhs turn saying it will be 19 months π..... so after this little embryo ..... I might have to try and find the money for two more cycles π€―π€―π€―πππππ’π’π’π’π’
Sorry to hear youβve had covid rhinocat! Hope that youβre able to get back into a new cycle soon! In the meantime, enjoy the festive period and a cheeky glass or two of wine (itβs what Iβm doing!) xxx
Yep, nothing else for it. Iβm defo gonna relax and get myself back to fit and happy mode π₯³ thanks for your lovely message . Hope you have a happy and safe Christmas whatever ya get up to π₯
Sorry to hear about youve had Covid. In a weird way you've had it now and there should be less worry when starting treatment about contracting it (sorry if that comes across wrong π)I was worried sick during treatment about getting it and it being cancelled. I hope you didn't suffer too much with symptoms.
I echo what the other ladies said and enjoy your Xmas and if you feel emotionally ready get back in the game πͺ
Wishing you lots of love and positive vibes for your FET in the new year. Xxx
I totally get what ya mean π who would have thought Iβd ever be thankful to have had covid π€·πΌββοΈ such a weird world βΊοΈ thanks for your lovely message! Have a fab Christmas ππ
