Red/brown discharge at 8weeks

Hi hope someone can advise.

I’m 8weeks and I’m getting red/brown discharge mixed with the remnants of my Crinone progesterone I think, when I wipe and when I withdrew the applicator it was on that too

7 week scan last week was fine but my pregnancy symptoms e.g breast tenderness and slight nausea have been reducing over the past week.

Twinges starting again last few days.

Getting really worried.

I’m discharged from the clinic but haven’t had contact from a midwife yet. What do I do? Call the GP?

I would ring the EPU from your area they will advise you, I just been there (im just 5 weeks 5 days pregnant) and they have been fantastic, good luck xx

You could try calling your early pregnancy unit. I also had a times of brown blood followed by some red but I didn't have pain. It is beyond terrifying but it does seem pretty common which I'm sure doesn't give you much reassurance. Your cervix can get pretty irritated by the progesterone and putting the applicators up there doesn't help either. The placenta is also bedding in round about now which can cause this too. The list of worries is endless. Hope it settles down soon.xx

Called my surgery and receptionist told me to call the community midwife dept, they told me they can’t help and I needed to get my GP to refer me to EPU.

Called surgery again and was told doc would call me back. Had a couple of calls with GP who has thankfully managed to book me a scan at the hospital for tomorrow morning.
