Hi everyone, i'm 3dp5dt (fresh transfer) and already feel i'm out of the game. For the last 2 years, pretty much a week to the day AF is due, I get little twinges 'down below', a couple of cramps (and always a lovely spot on my face!) So what do I get today, exactly a week before I'm due - the pesky twinges! Also when I say 'down below', I don't mean my cervix or uterus, I mean my proper lady parts!
I'm holding out a little hope that these are either a) due to the progesterone pessaries or b) potentially BFP symptoms as they do feel a little stronger than normal.
But, I also know that when I know - I know
Does anyone else get these symptoms? Did anyone generally feel like AF was coming as usual but then got a BFP?
Thanks!

Yes absolutely!!! I had all my typical AF symptoms when I got my BFP! ❤️The 2ww is so hard isn’t it? I’m a couple of days ahead of you, 5dp5dt, fresh cycle too. Mine was an early blastocyst so I’m not very hopeful but let’s see 😉
Hey ToughCOOKIE78 , thanks so much for your reply <3 it really is so so difficult. Especially when, like clockwork, those AF symptoms kick in! But good to hear you go them too
For me, it's just such a tough pill to swallow that you go through all you go through on an IVF cycle, have your transfer (mine was an early-ish blastocyst too grade 3AB) and then merely 3 days later feel EXACTLY the same as you usually do when AF is a week away, you know?!
Yes I know what you mean! This is my 4th transfer 🙈🙈🙈and I’ve learnt that really there is NO WAY to find out if symptoms we have are from meds, progesterone or AF coming....so we might as well not think about it 😂😂😂
Your blasto is good! (I got pregnant with a 3BB but then had a MMC 💔)
Thank you, I ve had cramps on and off all day and I'm super tired 😴 no bleed as yet thank god xx
The 2WW is such a time warping, all consuming worry fest. I was exactly the same as you and had cramps that started a few days after my transfer and got quite bad around the day my AF was due. All my symptoms were identical to menstral ones and I was convinced it had failed and my period was arriving. It’s very early days but imagine my surprise when I got a BFP. I know everyone is different and I don’t mean to give you false hope but try and stay open minded and not read too much into those twinges etc as all the hormones we have to take do strange things to our bodies. Wishing you all the best and keeping my fingers crossed for everyone in their 2WW. Xx
