I am now 5 days off utrogestan pesseries and my period is yet to show herself ππ€ I've had moments where I think, yep this is it, but when I go to check its nothing and I have no cramps or anything either π€·ββοΈ
My dose was 200mg 3x daily if that makes any difference.
Does anyone know or have any experience of how long it took for their period to arrive after stopping progesterone or if and when I should contact the clinic regarding this?
Thanks in advance βΊ

Hi Steph, mine took about 4 days (I stopped the progesterone on the Thursday, and got my period on the Sunday). I'm sure yours isn't too far away ππ» xx
I had a chemical pregnancy and my period came while I was still on the progesterone. The nurses told me that regardless of whether or not you are pregnant - you will bleed when your body is ready and that the progesterone wont be able to stop it. However, if it was a fresh ivf cycle I was told that due to the meds my lining would be thicker than usual and it is likely that the bleeding may start a little later than usual and that I would likely bleed more (which I did).
I am sure that when your body is ready it will come and you have no cause for concern. My concern was getting it done and out of the way so that I may be ready for a December cycle rather than having it pushed back to become a January cycle due to the timing with their holiday shut down periods. Are you thinking about doing a December cycle? I was advised to just keep eating healthy and let my body adjust, heal and do its thing to get back on track. If you can call the nurses why don't you? It may put your mind at ease. Biggest hugs!
No I don't want to do a December cycle. I want to have this period and then not think about it for a month or so, enjoy Christmas and then regroup in the New Year. Id like to do a transfer or another cycle maybe January-February when I've had enough time to recover.
Me too! I find Christmas a very stressful time unfortunately (my family live overseas and all expect presents, 101 phone calls and it can be difficult with a 10 hour time difference).
Otherwise I would do another transfer next month. Shame xxx
When they put me on Progesterone for one cycle it caused me to be 5 days late. Same as you, lots of twinges and dashes to the bathroom but nothing. She finally showed up. But it didn't mess up my next cycle (I did stop progesterone after that cycle) xx
I think I was usually around 5-7 days after stopping meds, it hasn't always been the same for me. Probably is just around the corner. Just a word of warning, stock up on pain killers and keep your hot water bottle nearby, I found the withdrawal bleeds pretty painful.xx
