Today was my OTD and I appear to have a BFP. Obviously very excited but also cautious as my last IVF cycle resulted in a chemical pregnancy.
The test line is certainly much stronger than in my previous cycle and the clinic said that their test (which is the one pictured) can be harder to get a strong line on compared to Clear Blue or First Response. They said that, even if the line is faint, this is a good sign. I also did a further two hCG tests beyond this one and got positives on them - the lines were a bit darker on those ones too.
I just wondered if anyone else had a similar test line and went on to have a successful confirmed pregnancy? I'm going to test again in a couple of days to see if the line has darkened.
Also, my clinic don't run blood tests as standard and have just booked me straight in for my first scan. The scan is booked for the 4th Dec - considering my transfer was the 4th Nov, this doesn't seem like it hits the 6/7 week mark - or am I wrong?! How long is normal to wait to be scanned after getting a BFP?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Congratulations! Yes standard tests aren’t as sensitive so don’t get as strong a line as first response etc, so I’d say you’re looking good! As a serial tester I would agree with you and test again in a couple of days for reassurance. And sounds about right for your scan - at the point of transfer of a 5DT you’re already classed as 19 days pregnant. So for 11dp5dt you’re 30 days pregnant already so 4w2d so by scan day you’ll be exactly 7 weeks xx
Thank you so much for your helpful response. I had no idea we were classed as 19 days pregnant on transfer day!! Clearly I missed the memo on that! Everything makes more sense now. Thank you again for reaching out xx
Thank you Diane! It’s definitely not as faint as my last round so I am fairly confident I am pregnant. I will test again in a couple of days just to be sure the line is darker. Thank you for your well wishes! xx
Hi congratulations on your postive test! It's usual from test day ( normally test at 11 days post a 5 day blast transfer to be booked for viability scan 3 weeks later from then so week 7 to week 8 normally to check the position of the embryo and all is well etc... so this is spot on 4th December you will be in the 7th week. Sending lots of baby dust your way xx
I had this when I tested. The test from my clinic barely showed a line, I actually thought it was a negative but did a FRER just because I had one left and to my surprise it was a strong positive. It made me re-look at the test my clinic gave me and realise I could see a line if I squinted 😂
