Light test line on 11dp5dt

Hi everyone, just hoping for some opinions on a light test line on OTD (11dp5dt). I had 'pregnant' on a digital yesterday morning but today on the test the clinic gave me the line is considerably lighter than the control line. When I called the clinic the nurse said that it should really be the same or darker than the control at this stage so to test again in a couple of days. Will probably spend the weekend worrying but just curious if anyone else had a light line at this stage that went on to be positive? Thanks so much!

These tests take ages to darken up in my experience. You would be better using a clearblue or first response. The clinic ones are also nerve that great. Hopefully you get a more conclusive result on another test. Good luck.xx

Thank you very much, I will get a clear blue with the lines. I had a clear blue digital which came up as 1-2 weeks pregnant at 9dp5dt but I'm thinking perhaps it's not progressing/is chemical based on the line today. The nurse did say that the digital are just yes/no so not as accurate in that way. So I guess maybe testing tomorrow or Monday is the way to go. X

Definitely get a FRER and a clear blue, it’s still very early days for it to be super dark and it could also be dependant on the time of day you took the test etc. The clinic are right though, a test in a couple of days should help confirm if the pregnancy is progressing. Do they do blood tests at your clinic (mine do t but I know others do) Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏽💕🤗 xx

Thanks very much, I will get a different test. I did the digital clearblue yesterday and the day before but I went with the clinic one for the OTD. The digital ones don't indicate strength of hcg I guess so I suppose I'll just have to try to be patient and tolerate the waiting. I did take it at like 5.30am when I woke so I guess after a 6 hour window. Thanks again x

I think the urine tests are so unpredictable. Unfortunately I had a similar line in my first transfer that ended up a chemical but I have seen people who have had similar and end up with their baby. My clinic could only really tell from the blood test. My clinic have stopped doing blood tests due to Covid but due to my previous chemical I think urine tests would send me mad so I ordered a home HCG test, so I can know the numbers. Really hoping you get your positive 💕

My lines were really faint on these tests for quite a while and didn’t match up with HCG levels on bloods. I was worried after having a mmc in the past, but all was well and I now have a 9 week old! Good luck! Hope this is your time xx

Apparently the clinic tests only pick up HGC of 100+ so are far less sensitive. If you are going to compare tests you have to do it with the same brand. I think Clear Blue pick up HGC of 25+ and FRER are 5+ the most sensitive. If you are going to test early I always recommend only using FRER then after a few days CB to see if it picks up anything meaning the HCG is higher...

When I took these tests mine came up negative even when I was 6 weeks pregnant! But the FRER and clear blue were super dark! My clinic also gave me a different kind and they were dark too! I think these strip ones are always hard to guess on! Get a FRER and see with that lovely!
