Waiting for day 1 of cycle to book a scan and now it has decided to be the latest it has ever been. Has this happened to anyone else?

So my cycles are normally around 33 days. Last month I had a 28 day cycle (unusual for me, but I had been eating better etc) This cycle we did have my partners SSR and I’ve been back at work and had my cervical screening. I’m now at day 37 and nothing! This is the one cycle I’ve been relying on so I can book my scan for ivf meds :-(. So frustrating!

Yes! When you want it to come, it doesn’t! I think for me I get so worked up and stressed about the upcoming treatment, it affects my cycles. Are you feeling really stressed, perhaps it’s the same for you. Good luck for when you do start x

Thank you. I mean I don’t feel overly stressed but I am worrying about it. Plus going through my partners SSR was obviously a very anxious time so wondering if I’ve just been stressed. Trying to do things to relax in the hope it will arrive but just feel frustrated that it decided this one month to not arrive on time 🙈 also seems to be the weekend everyone is announcing they are pregnant, which isn’t helping with my emotions and my internal battle of being holy for others but sad for myself 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yep the same ha happened to me previously! You spend your ttc life not wanting it to come, then when you do it won’t! Hopefully you won’t have to wait much longer x

Going through exactly the same right now! I don’t feel stressed but obviously I must be. Going to try some exercise this week to see if that helps! Xx

Well I did two Pilates classes and had a hot water bottle on last night... just got gone from work and it has arrived!! Never been so happy to have it 😂🙈

The same happened to me before our first round of IVF I had a cycle length of 47, the first ever! I usually have a cycle length about 33days. It is extremely frustrating. I sometimes think it’s the time of year. As my cycle this month has been longer. 37 days. Same time of year as when we did our first cycle. 😔

Oh really how strange! There must be so many factors that affect our bodies without realising! How many cycles have you done? Sending you lots of luck xx

I have only done 1 cycle (fresh transfer) it broke me. I wasn’t quite prepared for the stress it puts your body under and the emotion. We have 4 frozen embryos and are in the processes of moving clinics. We have unexplained infertility. So no answers. Just have to try again. Going to start fresh in the new year time. I think I am ready both mentally and physically again. My cycle has been a lot more regular this year too. So many things can affect this journey.
