Hi everyone,
How long should I wait in between embryo transfers?
Thanks x
Good question !! Would be interested in this myself and whether a withdrawal bleed is always necessary and whether starting on the next period is possible for both after a collection and after a transfer...
I’ve had a bleed after BFN and had a 3 week wait for a review consultation (was nearly 6 weeks but I was lucky enough to get a cancellation) and this is private so I’m hoping for FET January. I’ve heard the NHS make you wait 3 cycles before another transfer- hoping this isn’t the case across the board x
Hello, I don’t think there is a set timeframe to wait. From what I’ve experienced my clinic have always made me wait a couple weeks for a follow up and what has delayed me going again the next month (which they would have let me do) was other tests and investigations. I suspect the NHS say that to manage expectation and demand on their services rather than there being a clinical reason.xx
I started my withdrawal bleed as soon as a got my BGN. Needed to ring the clinic on the first day of my next period to track my ovulation to have natural FET the same month. The consultant said there's no physical reason to wait, it would just be if I could mentally go through it so quickly again. My thoughts are my body had an embryo in it recently so maybe it's better to do it now as my body may be better prepared. Hope this helps x
I had my BFN last Monday after a fresh cycle and I’m already on track for a FET (natural) - ovulation will be sometime next week and I’ll do the transfer 5 days later. My doctor said no need to wait for another period. 🤷🏻♀️
Had 1st fresh transfer 24th Sep which failed so got period then waited for another period and now booked in for FET next week.
Depends on follow up consultations I guess and what Dr says and how quickly clinic can book you in.
Good luck with everything 🥰🥰🥰
