IVF medication

Just a quick one. I paid £700 for my medication throughout IVF and was told by my midwife yesterday that I could have used my tax credit exemption card. This is not something I was told about by the unit in fact they told me I had to pay. Don’t be conned ladies ❤️ love and luck x

Hi,

Are you paying for the ivf or is it an NHS cycle?

Generally ivf meds aren't included for a private cycle . The tax credits exception card only exempts you from the prescription charge not from the total cost of drugs iykwim.

Good luck with your cycle :)
