Has anyone had any testing to know how high your progesterone levels are during the 2ww?

I have unbelievable bloating and when I take my utrogestan pessaries I feel so tired after them, I’m taking 2x 200mg morning and night so 4 a day ,,,,, I’m constipated but have a high fibre diet and I’m concerned if my progesterone is too high then there’s a possibility of failure,,,,,,, how do you know without having your bloods took after taking the medication? I’ve phoned my clinic but waiting to get bk to me so thought I ask anyone who may know or been through similar symptoms?? Xx

I had mine checked 5 days after transfer. Your dose doesn’t sound too high, it’s a pretty standard one. Worth checking anyway! FWIW, even smaller doses of progesterone can cause constipation and bloating so I wouldn’t necessarily think that it’s to do with it being really high

Thank you for that it really helps me stop stressing. I called the nurse and she reassured me the same saying there’s no way it could be too high to cause miscarriage, some things online aren’t true but offered me a test if I wanted one to help relieve my worries x I’m just going to chill out and stop googling and stressing about everything 🙄 I’m not normally like this but because my body feels so out of sync and ivf doesn’t come cheap you want to ensure you’re doing and double checking everything to make it work x crazy times 🤪

Hi Blue, I know of one of the top clinics (often considered the best one) in London want progesterone levels to exceed 150. Some ladies have progesterone levels 600 + and it's no comcern to them apparantly. As Lishika explained, you're on a standard dose so try not to worry xx

It must be different protocols for each different individuals then. Makes sense as we’re all not able to reproduce for different reasons x All the best on your journey 😊
