I've heard just now that Leeds Hospitals are cancelling elective surgeries from tomorrow due to a surge in COVID cases. This is a major Teaching hospital and it's indicated others may follow. Has anybody heard anything about fertility treatments being cancelled? Hope not for us all. Probably just overly worrying..X
I am with Leeds fertility and I was speaking with them today and I haven’t heard anything. Hope it doesn’t affect the fertility clinic because I know they have all the procedures in place and they are so good so I hope they can keep going!
Thank you! That sounds positive As there isn't a national shutdown from HEFA hopefully it can keep going if the nurses or consultants aren't called off elsewhere I hope your treatment works for you soon x
Hi, as far as I'm aware they have not mentioned stopping any fertility treatments. They are focusing on retaining beds in ICUs at the main sites in readiness for the increase of covid patients. Nothing on intranet or daily covid email.
But obviously things can change. Just keep in contact with the fertility clinic.
