Fever 3 days post embryo transfer

Hi All,

I did my day 3 embryo transfer on Saturday. I’ve been down with fever all day today with running nostrils. Anybody has this experience or any thought?

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I had a cold doing my first cycle with a slightly raised temperature (37.5). I told the nurses before I went for the transfer and they said it was fine and that lots of women come down with a cold because the process is so intense. I did get a BFP although later an early miscarriage but that was due to other issues. Maybe you can take paracetamol to keep your temperature down but I would just ring your clinic for advice. Thank you very much for your response. The clinic has asked me to to take paracetamol and rest . I’m however worried about taking any drugs aside the essential ones. Did you use paracetamol during your cycle?

I understand your worry but I really think paracetamol is fine. I did take paracetamol. I think it is important because you want to keep your body temperature down. I don't know how high your fever is but if more than 37.4 I definitely take it. Paracetamol is proven to be safe in pregnancy and it is still so early that it won't affect the embryo. Xx
