Hi all, been a while since I posted on here but just wanted to check a few things. I had my first ivf cycle back in July with a negative result in early august. I started my withdrawal bleed 3 days later which lasted 4 days but was only heavy on the 1st day (I was expecting it to be much worse!) and then tapered off very quickly..
I then had 2 days of spotting 11 days after this (which I had initially thought was my period but I guess not..) and then now 22 days after my ivf withdrawal bleed, I started my ‘period’ which was only 3 days and quite light (with maybe 2 small clots) and has since stopped.
I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this experience or if this is weird? In between these two small bleeds I have had, I have had a follow up with my nhs clinic who has said I can restart ivf once I have had 2 periods. Would these even count?! Typically, my bleeds last for 6-7 days and are very heavy for days 2-3.
Any experiences you can share would be great!
Thanks all xxxx

At least you had your period. I had a miscarriage after 4 weeks after FET but just bleed a little with the embryo sac inside. Now, 4 weeks later, I am waiting for my period but nothing happen. I have my next appointment in November for a self fundraising treatment. I wish this time it works, I’m 42...
Oh I’m so sorry to hear about your miscarriage Barbara - must be so hard! Have everything crossed for you for November - give yourself time and let your body do its thing, I’m sure it’s just trying to get back into a rhythm following the miscarriage xxx
Many thanks PenguinBlue :). I wish you all the best. At the hospital told us that we have to wait at least two months to star a new cycle, loooooooong time
Thank you Barbara!!! I know, we were told the same but I’m just trying to use this time to get into better shape (lockdown didn’t help me in my last cycle I’m sure!) and make the most of enjoying the time with hubby before all the stress begins again
