My period hasn't arrived after taking norethisterone to induce i

My period hasn't arrived after taking norethisterone to induce it, I am 9 days late. Does anyone have experience with this and know what will happen or what to do?

Hey Shinamoore. I googled this when i was taking it. I think mine came on the 6th day after but read people saying uptil 2 weeks after norethisterone. Did you ring your clinic? They might tell you to see it out for another few days or suggest something different xxx

This happened to me. I just had a bit of spotting then nothing. My doctor has suggested we try the medication again ( this is also to induce my period) let’s see if it works this time! So far no other solution has been found

It's so frustrating when it is right at the beginning and you want to start it and feel the drugs are already working against your body. I don't even take paracetamol in normal life!! I got mine after 13 days. Not a lot, but enough. I hope yours comes too xx

Hi I was taking norethisterone for a full year and 6 months straight due tk very heavy prolonged periods I've recently come of norethisterone in May 27th gone and I had bleed 2 days after that lasted for 6 days then I had no bleeding for 5 weeks till weds gone and I swear it's the worse ever period I've ever expected then before as its heavy and very clotty not trying to scare you or anything but the experience I'm having atm is through the roof also my mood is 100% nasty and irritable but please if you can I'd advice you if you have heavy period at all when it does show up buy some always discreet underwear as it does help with leaks and heavy flow also try and get some tranexamic acid tablets to help reduce the heavy bleeding I've just started taking the tablets yesterday and at the moment it seems to not be helping as I'm still HEAVy but I've been told to take it for a few day to see if it helps
