I had my first ivf abroad , the protocol was so different now in ca. I had my second ivf ER on sep 12 and fresh transfer on Sep 16 which failed and I got my period on 26. From then I’m taking estrace , 3 times a day. Oct 9 I went for lining check, it was good 10mm . But they gave my transfer date as 23 oct. I don’t understand usually it will be 14 days period date right? How can my transfer date be on 23 rd oct almost 28 days after my periods? Did anyone have such huge gap in transfer? I’m scared if I transfer on 23 what if I get my period on 26 as usual. This will be last embryo. If anyone had such transfer . Need some success story

Hi there, no hope for you as such as my FETs have failed, but I will say that my last transfer was essentially on day 24 of my cycle - being on high does estrogen usually keeps your period away whilst the lining builds and it’s the introduction of progesterone (after ovulation in a normal non medicated cycle) that moves you into the luteal phase and your period comes generally 14 days after that. Long way of saying in a medicated cycle there is much more flexibility in when to transfer. Good luck!

Try not to worry as the estrace that you have been taking stops you from ovulating and if you don't ovulate then your body cant produce progesterone which when it dips would bring on your period.....hope that makes sense! Your clinic is essentially controlling your cycle with meds and only if/when the cycle doesn't work and you stopped meds would you get your period. Ive been using this protocol for my FET's abroad too and I can assure you its fine and normal. Best of luck for transfer, hope its a lucky one.....Im having twins after many BFN's and a couple of losses.xx
