6 day blastocyst any positive results

Please need help has any one had to wait till day 6 for a blastocyst to form and fir ET as just had call from hospital with not the news I was wanting to hear should of been going in today for ET 😩😩

I had a transfer on day 5. I was told that it was the only embryo that had done what it needed to and i had two more they were waiting on. The next day (so day 6) i was called and both had accelerated and were where they needed to be to be frozen. It can happen lovely. Sometimes they just needed a little longer to get ready! Xx

Thank you for replying xx sat here in bits wondering if it’s all failed xx just wasn’t expecting that call today or didn’t want that response from hospital xx I’m trying to be positive xx

That is the problem with IVF- there are so many factors involved and you try to prepare and then something pops up. Sending bigs hugs and hope it all goes well. Try to be kind to yourself- it is a rough ride xxx

Hi Selene, Our 2nd ivf failed although 9 eggs fertilsed none made to transfer stage...they did say they would wait on one to day 6 as it was still going.

Unfortunately it didn't make it- gutted beyond words we never expected this as two transfered first round but bfn...

wishing you loads of postive vibes right now as my own experience not to say yours won't make it.🤞🤞

I wish they could take them to day 7 ....

I'm currently pregnant with a day 6 grade 3bb blastocyst that was frozen and then transferred by medicated FET xx

Don’t worry day 6 blasts are as good as day 5. All my blasts are day 6. We had 6 embryos reaching day 5 and 4 made it to day 6. From those 4, 3 of them are PGS normal. We have our transfer booked in just few weeks time. Is nothing wrong with them, you will have positive results tomorrow 🤞 so you are not going ahead with the transfer?

Day 6 are as good as Day 5 but ONLY if they are frozen and then transferred as an FET on day 5.

As far as I have seen there is a lack of good research, and there used to be very little understanding of how manage day 6/7 transfers, which led to a false belief that they were not as viable. I believe more and more clinics are starting to take notice of the fact that day 6 and day 7 embryos can absolutely lead to live births at a good rate. I would ask your clinic for their opinion and their experiences, if they say it is not going to survive a freeze (personally) I would absolutely go ahead with transfer. I am currently almost 32 weeks pregnant with a day 6 blastocyst following a FET. Our day 5 blastocyst didn’t work, even though it was perfect (By grading and through its development). The day 6 blastocyst appeared to be the worst out of three on day 4 but turned out to be our little miracle. There is no way to tell, I think it all comes down to luck and everything being just right. You have as good a chance as anyone, best of luck 😊

Thank your for all your positive wishes xx had the call today my embryos didn’t make it to blastocyst stage 😩😩😩 feeling so disappointed and heartbroken at moment don’t think I want to carry on with this journey I’ve aged 10 years in 2 months I’m self funding and I don’t know if I can put that sort of strain on my marriage again x
