Hi hun I always take the day of egg collection and the following day off. I then save some annual leave for embryo transfer as thats the bit that I find i need it more. Hope this helps and good luck for egg collection xx

Thanks for your reply, it’s very helpful.

I had my down reg scan today and will be starting stimulation drugs on Saturday, hopefully. The clinic gave me dates for the key stages moving forward from today and I just wanted to get an idea of potential sickness so I can warn my employer. We have so much going on at work right now.

Best wishes to you too x

I know its hard but don't worry about what you have going on at work. I've been lucky and have an extremely supportive boss so hopefully you are in the same position. Good luck for the rest of your treatment x

Hi,

I would say at least a day and a half. The day of egg collection and the morning after to sleep in and take the morning slowly.

Good Luck!

Like everyone said, two days is ideal - do remember that there's no way to predict when exactly EC will be though, unfortunately you'll only know for sure two days beforehand. Wishing you lots of luck xx

Thanks everyone, that’s really helpful.

Boss has been very supportive, just wanted to try and give her a heads up as much as poss. The whole company is going through a major restructure, was announced couple of weeks ago, timing is not great but hey ho! Can’t get stressed over it and need to focus on positive vibes to support my IVF journey.

Good luck yo you all xxxx

First egg collection was really painful but they also punctured my endometrioma. O was in pain for 3 days.

Second time I had minimal pain and was fine the next day. Just tired . If you can take the next day off

I took 3 weeks off starting egg collection till otd of my fresh transfer cos this was my second ivf cycle, I wanted to do everything right. However my fresh transfer failed, I was a mess . Still haven’t started working, my mind is not ready for work. Too much of anxiety, anyways I feel this vacation was necessary as I’m preparing for fet and relaxed with no work stress
