If my embryos were put in 5 days ago but my last period was actually almost a month ago, if im not pregnant could i get my period tomorrow?

Does anyone have experience with an ivf cycle that took 3 weeks for my eggs to grow to make embryos? Will my period come sooner or will it wait the full 12 days because of the progesterone im taking?

Usually the pessaries you are taking block your period. But that's not always the case I guess. It will just come if you aren't pregnant when it wants to. Hoping that's not the case for you. I was had my period on the 8th of August and then started the medication for ivf and it weren't until 20 days later I had my egg collection. And transfer on the 1st I was so expecting my period 7 days later.

In general you get your period 12-16 days post ovulation so if ovulation is delayed by a certain number of days then the expected date of your period is similarly pushed back. When you're undergoing IVF your cycle is usually altered by the hormones you are taking and progesterone suppositories generally block your period. I've had 2 BFN's but have only bled after I stopped using the suppositories both times. But as Tweetaha notes, this isn't always the case and some people bleed earlier. Hi Iwantpregnancy. If you have been prescribed progesterone either in pessary or injection form, it is unlikely that your period will start tomorrow. You need to do your pregnancy test on the day recommended by your clinic, which hopefully will be positive, if not, then follow your clinic's instructions with regards to stopping any prescribed medication. Right i didnt get my period but last night it really felt like it was coming! I dont take the pesaries now since i got thrush from them or some kinda irritation. So now im taking a pill called dufaston, which is progesterone 3 times a day. ! Hopefully theyll be no period i pray xxx
