Period after egg collection

Egg collection went well and will hopefully be doing a frozen transfer next cycle. How soon after egg collection does your period arrive - is it normally 14 days or shorter?

It can depend on the trigger injection used. I was prone to OHSS, and so used Buserelin with the intention of having a FET. My period came quite quickly (5th day post egg collection). I was quite alarmed as no-one had warned me, but the consultant later told me it was to be expected with Buserelin.

Hi! I don’t have any advice but am in a similar position so also interested to know the timescales! I had my egg collection 2 weeks ago (but had to freeze all due to high risk of OHSS). I had a withdrawal bleed last week and am now waiting for waiting my real period before I can do a frozen transfer xx

My luteal phase was on the short end of my normal length after my egg collection when I was doing a freeze all. Glad your egg collection went well and good luck with your FET x

Just waiting for mine now. Had egg collection on 10th August and then got admitted to hospital for 10 days with OHSS in the 13th August. Was shocked by the withdrawal bleed 2 weeks after egg collection, I just hadn’t thought about it! Now waiting for period so I can start natural FET process - it’s due in 4 days (I have a 30 day cycle) but I don’t feel like it’s showing any signs of being on its way which is frustrating! Interested to hear other people’s timescales as starting to obsess a little every time I go to the toilet now!
