Slower growers

Hi ladies,

Had my second egg retrieval last week...ended up with six mature eggs (2 more than last round!) and three fertilized (also one more than last round). They are growing but that lab said that they need another day - they aren’t quite at the stage they can freeze them. I am so worried I feel sick because tomorrow is the last day they let them grow. Any spare prayers or good vibes out there, our little dudes can use them! Anyone else had a positive result from slower growing blasts? 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I have two day 6 blasts frozen. I haven’t used either of them yet but we did PGS test them and both came back normal. We were told the success rates for them would be the same as a day 5 xxx

My clinic doesn’t tell you grades, just that it’s good enough to freeze. I think people get too hung up on what grade they are so try not to worry too much xx

Wonderful news! Thanks for that info. I should be hearing this afternoon from the lab. On pins and needles but really hoping they will be okay. Yesterday they were early blastocysts, whatever that means! ❤️ Good luck with your transfer.

I’m 16 weeks with twins - one is a day 6 4bb - we think she is the girl twin as has always been behind her brother and a lot of science suggests slower growing blastocysts are more likely to be female x

I’ve heard that too but my fastest blast is my current pregnancy and she’s a girl 😂 Same for my friend who had IVF as well x
