BFN at 10dp5dt and clinic want me to test again on OTD. I’m sure I’m out but I’m interested to know if anyone has had a negative at this stage and then gone on to have a positive HPT or had a negative HPT but gone on to have a positive BETA??! I think it’s so unlikely but the clinic are really pushing for me to come in on Monday for a blood test. We’ve delayed holiday plans so now I just want to pack up and go and don’t really want to go in for a blood test on Monday morning (although hubby very keen for me to do this!)
Aaaaaaaassghhhhhhh. Making babies is fun they said, it’ll be really easy they said. 😢🤯

Wishing both of you heaps of luck... I am clutching at straws with you both and have seen quite a few people on here get that late BFP. My OTD is always 14days after 5det so 10 days is still early in my eyes. Masses of luck xx

Oh hun I’m so sorry. It’s not even like the testing is the easy/ smooth bit after the stress of the 2ww. Hope AF comes soon so you can get on with your life! I just hate all the unknown bit! Hope you have something planned for the weekend xx
I know. Knowing the outcome has someone relaxed me a little - after the initial tidal wave of disappointment as I was nearly convinced I was pregnant!
The good and bad news is that it’s OH’s birthday today. No perfect birthday gift, but did treat him to a fancy dinner and myself to a G&T aperitif and wine with the meal. At least I could have that! Feeling a bit better now. Hope you’ll have better news to share shortly!
Good for you having a little tipple at dinner! Ahh thanks hun. I know it will be negative as it was negative again this morning. OTD is tomorrow but think it would take a miracle to turn it around now! At least off to relax next week x

Haha wouldn’t that be funny. We’re off on holiday for just over a week on Monday. Our first break in just under a year so we’re really looking forward to it. Like you I may even have a glass of wine 😉xx
I personally haven’t but a very close friend of mine did. She had a negative on her OTD at 10dp5dt, she was asked to stay on meds and retest after 3 days and got a faint line at 13dp5dt. She has a beautiful little girl now x
Gosh that’s interesting. Thanks for that. My clinic said that even if I got a BFN on Saturday they would still ask me to test on Monday (14dp5dt)but they would prefer me to come in. I guess it can happen to some people. Great story re your friend x
Yeah I always thought it was a bit unnecessary when they ask you to stay on meds a few more days and retest (we were cycling at the same clinic at the same time) but she’s proof they do have their reasons! I’m sure it’s not very common but if there is a chance, it’s a chance worth taking ❤️ xxx

I know it’s so hard but listen to the experts. If testing is making you feel down or stressed try and wait for the blood test. Or test on your blood test day. You need to keep calm and relaxed, having stress hormones circulating wont do you any favours. Do it for your embryo! You can do it, stay strong & positive. We IVF warriors are here and have your back! Only 4 more sleeps ...... big hugs Xx

Hey could you agree to stay on meds but do a HPT on Monday and still go on your holiday plans? There is defo still some hope of it turning around but I understand balancing that with having your holidays Xx
Thanks hun. To be honest I’m just being a whinge bag! We’re not even flying anywhere! Their secondary option is exactly that but hubby wants a definite answer (which I can understand) so I think I’ll go for the BETA first thing on Monday morning and then we can head off. Once you have a negative, you just want to get on with next steps but it really drags on!! Xx
We have to hope don’t we, I ruled myself out on round 3 with a very faint line and gave up the day after OTD, but now I wish I’d tried holding on just a bit longer. It may not have changed the outcome but I wouldn’t have been left with the niggling doubt. Anyway, you’re booked in for Monday now so everything crossed and whatever happens you have that holiday to go on which at the moment is a blessing on its own. 🤞🤞
It was on OTD I tested but I won’t sugar coat it the line was super faint and didn’t come up in the 3min time limit but it was pink and not grey evap. I was so confused and disheartened. I gave up the next day rather than waiting the 2 days and testing again like I was advised to do.
God it’s never simple isn’t it?! I’m so disheartened as I’m still getting negatives. I actually just told my husband that I’m going to cancel my BETA and do a HPT on Monday. I don’t really see the point in travelling into the clinic if I’m getting a negative at 13/14 dp5dt. Do you think I should still do the BETA?! X
I find HPTs (even the FRERs) not conclusive for my peace of mind. My first clinic only did blood tests but my current clinic doesn’t unless you request (and pay for). So I’m not enjoying the need to wee on a stick, i swear we get PTSD from the repetitive BFNs we see on them! Are you going to test over the weekend too? If it was me I’d test each morning and by Monday’s test you could make a judgement on whether you’re sure or want the clinic to confirm one way or the other for you.
Yes!!! I think that’s exactly what I have got. Traumatised my the massive white space on flippin pregnancy tests!! Yes tomorrow is OTD so will test again. To be honest though it’s not like it’s a faint negative! It couldn’t be more of a firmer negative! I just don’t think I can face travelling in to clinic on Monday. I feel so deluded to be honest. Anyway I’ll see how I feel over the weekend. Thanks hun xx
Oh hun I know exactly how you feel. My last BFN was the same - just stark white. So gutting. I also said to my husband that I feel like I have a massive phobia of pregnancy tests. I just can’t bear looking at them to see the whiteness. Everything crossed for you that it’s just a late developer xxx
Have everything crossed for you that u get a positive I normally test about day 15 I think so day 10 could be quite early u r not out otd when I got a positive (sadly ended in Chemical) I had af pains & all the symptoms of a period so u just never know! wishing u all the very best xx
