I’m 6 weeks + 1 day pregnant with my first after a successful IVF cycle but have been having what I can only assume are round ligament pains mostly when I sneeze or cough, pretty much since Implantation. Everywhere I’ve read says you only experience this in 2nd trimester though. I mostly feel it right at the bottom of my uterus in the middle. Anyone experienced similar so early on?
I’ve also yet to feel nausea which I’m worried about. My mum had it with both my brother and me.
Thanks in advance for any replies!

Hi Catlin, my advice is don’t worry too much about anything, I am 6weeks + 2 days. Some days I have felt nauseous and some days I felt nothing at all it made me cry and think what could be going on. I had blood test to confirm all is ok.
Be calm and stay positive. For some people it’s still early to have any symptoms.
Thanks for your reply. Did your clinic offer a blood test? I paid for an extra hcg through medicheck’s last week, which showed my Level was doubling as normal but that was last week. I just have to wait until my 7 weeks scan now..not too long to wait I suppose. Congrats to you!
Hi catlin at 6 weeks normally you are not suppose to feel morning sickness or anything and as it cross 7 weeks then you will feel it and untill 10 weeks I was feeling severe morning sickness but after 10 or 12 weeks I am completely fine, don’t panic 😊
Hi Caitlin. I’ve had those types of pains from very early on too - and I didn’t have any other symptoms, incl nausea until c.7.5 weeks (when it came with a vengeance!) I’m 18 weeks pregnant now.
I know it’s really hard but lack of symptoms and some ligament pain at this stage is totally normal.
Wishing you the best of luck for your pregnancy! Xx
I’m 7 weeks 5 days and I’ve had ligament pain since week 4! But it comes and goes, it isn’t anything to be concerned about! Just means your uterus is expanding to make room for baby.
As for the sickness, don’t wish for it! Trust me 🤢 I’ve had it every day for the last two weeks and it’s horrible! I can barely leave my bed without being sick! I understand that it’s a comfort thing if you are sick, but if your having other Pregnancy symptoms I really wouldn’t worry.
Some people have symptoms and some don’t, if you don’t ever have the sickness then you are very lucky!
Good luck to you, I’m a fellow IVF warrior too, and this is my 1st.
I also was worried sick that I wasn't having any symptom up until 7th week when everything kicked in, it was horrible , I wish I didn't wish for one .I am now 16weeks +4. All the best in your journey
I had ligament pain really early on. I was constantly ringing my midwife but she said it was totally normal. You’ll feel a bit more secure once you have the scan xx
I’ve had cramps since starting progesterone at EC. At first thought it was soreness from the procedure. Some really sharp pain when I turn over and as you say sneeze/cough which is disturbing So can relate to that. Also found it happens in 2nd trimester and worried about it until I saw other people experienced cramps. Put it down to the random side effects of the meds. Feel reassured that I’m not the only one so thanks for sharing!!! Just got to 6 weeks and the anxiety to get to that 1st scan is unreal. I think with the odds stacked against me for successful EC couple with a miscarriage a couple of years ago add to it. Helps to see other people’s comments on here, still haven’t worked out quite how to relax and not sure I will.... Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
I know it's so hard to relax. I try to meditate daily and just remember what i have to be grateful for but it doesnt stop me googling every little thing. I wasn't given any more progesterone after my official test date, just told to use up what ever i had which was about 3 pesseries. I actually had some very slight spotting last tues morning but nothing since so i've calmed down. I wonder why some clinics continue progesterone and some don't. Mine was a fresh cycle though and i think my clinic do continue it if it's a frozen cycle. Good luch with your pregnancy too. Keep thinking positively. When is your scan. Mine is on the 1st.xx
Im 26 weeks and sneeze a lot I don’t no why just always have and I had this very early and through out it’s completely normal don’t worry, sometimes if you hold your stomach it doesn’t hurt as much. It’s hard not to worry but you get so many aches and twinges then you kinda get use to them 💖💖💖
