Emotional response to gonal f injection on day 1

I did my first gonal f 225 injection today. Before this I had provera to bring my period on. It’s my first cycle of ivf though I’ve slowly been moving my way through fertility treatments. This is the first time I’ve taken such a huge dose of gonal f. I was fine but a few hours later I felt dizzy, nauseous, high anxiety and had a bit of a panic attack. Lots of feelings rushed at me for no reason, I was sobbing, couldnt breathe properly. Has anyone experienced these emotional effects?

Just wanted to say congrats on getting to your cycle and that I hope you feel better. It's a difficult and emotional time for sure, hopefully you will feel a lot better once it all settles in xx

Hi Feverdream. Oh dear! This is probably because the drug works on your pituitary gland in the brain, so is causing the nausea and headaches. Hopefully it should settle down on its own. However, try drinking more water and see if that helps. Thinking of you. Diane

Thank you so much. I have upped the drinking water game and it usually help the migraines etc disappear after a while.
