Embryo Glue?

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is well 💕

I have just received my medication for my first Ivf Cycle and have spoken to the nurse about possibly using embryo glue as an add on to my treatment.

What is everyone’s experience of embryo glue?

😚💗

Hi. I used embryo glue on my first round but unfortunately was a bfn but I'm just having my second fet and using it again I just think for piece of mind it's worth it well for me anyway as anything extra I can do is worth it can't do any harm anyway. Good luck with your transfer 🍀❤️

I had a double FET and used embryo glue and one embryo stuck personally I would use it again, they say it can increase chances by 10 percent so I thought why not ! Good luck xx

I've had embryo glue for my 1st round of ivf and I've got a BFP x

A few rounds ago I was looking into embryo glue and asked my consultant about it.. turned out they used it anyway as part of the process, it was what the embryos were stored in!

He then went onto say there was a more expensive version, which was good for older women or those with repeat MC which was called Embryogen. We decided to try that for our last round but that was a bit of a disaster due to terrible sperm.. hoping when we try the next round we can use it again and it will make the difference!

Anyway I guess what I am saying is - check .. your clinic may already use it anyway and it may be part of your package xx

Hi ya we used one transfer with one without - both BFN. Our clinic said last time not much evidence to support it made a difference, but I think it truly cones down to your choice. It seems a lot of the private ones use it automatically and if it can’t hurt to use it then worth a shot x

I didn’t use embryo glue on my first FET which was a BFN but I did use it on my second FET which was a BFP (sadly ending in miscarriage) but I would definitely use the glue again in case that was the missing link this time. Best of luck! Xxx 💕

I used it on my second round of IVF and got BFP. Currently 28 weeks. Our consultant however said she doesn’t rate it at all and wouldn’t recommend but equally wouldn’t discourage. I think this is pretty much in line with the evidence for it on the HFEA website.

For me, it was an extra £120, which, after forking out almost £7000 for IVF seemed like nothing to add on. For my own peace of mind i wanted to know that if the round failed i gave it my absolute best shot and in my mind this meant adding glue. All of the research said it did no harm to the embryo also, so for me the only risk was the small additional cost.

Best of luck! 🍀 whatever you decide xx
