Hi. I'm going in for a frozen emybro transfer soon. ( in uk) I've been through this before but I can't remember the process ( been a while) ie. Do you have to have scans and bloods taken? When do you start meds?

Would appreciate any info. Thanks all. Good luck to everyone!

Hi Liz,

At my clinic the procedure is baseline scan to begin, then start oestrogen pills. Another scan is booked for about 7 days later and if all ok start progesterone meds with transfer 3 or 5 days later depending on how old your embryo is. Mine doesn’t do any blood tests at this stage but I’m sure some do - from what I’ve read on this board it sounds like some women have their progesterone tested the day of or day before transfer.

I don’t usually down reg and have no normal cycle so not sure which cycle day meds usually start sorry. Wishing you lots of luck!
