*Sensitive Post* anyone taking propranolol and early pregnancy?

Hi everyone.

Quick question - I’m 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant through IVF, and I take propranolol 40mg once a day for anxiety.

I stupidly googled if it can affect the baby and I’ve read conflicting things.

Tbh I’m sure I could probably do without it so I’m happy to come off but obviously want to come off them properly through the GP, just wanted to know if there’s anyone on here who is currently pregnant and taking propranolol or had a healthy pregnancy while taking them?

Many thanks

Becks

I was advised to come off propranolol due to risks involved. Maybe different clinical areas in the country take a different view but I was asked to come off it which was hard. We’ve not started IVF yet but our clinic won’t do it if I’m on it.

Ok thank you, I think I need to call my Gp today and try and come off it. I don’t want to take anything that could harm baby. Good luck to you x

Any medication should be checked over by GP usually there are some safe alternatives that you can take. All the best with your pregnancy xxx
