Sensitive post!!! - early scan

Hi all. We went for our scan today. 7weeks 2 days. 1 gorgeous package on board. Got a heartbeat which was wonderful. They have advised it is measuring 6 weeks 3 days but said this is normal as so hard to tell at this stage. Anyone else experienced this and if so what was the outcome? Xx

Aww congrats!! My baby measured a week behind at 6 weeks and a bit, so I went into a complete blind panic, changed all my apps to reflect the new date to try and reassure myself a smaller baby is still a safe pregnancy, I then went to my 11 week private scan expecting to be 10+1 just to be told I’m 11+2 and back to the due date I originally had! I’m now almost half way through, apparently so early on it is some guess work with dates because of the lengths being to the mm xx

As long as the heartbeat is good I wouldn’t worry too much. They are quite curled up at that stage and obviously tiny so someone else could have got totally different measurements

One of my twins always measures a week or so behind but I did transfer 1 fresh and 1 frozen. The fresh was hatching and the frozen was a day 6 expanded so much slower anyway so the sort of blastocyst it started out as also has an effect

Hey Debra, I don't suppose its much consolation but the sonographer that did our early scan was a 2-3 days out. She said its hard to get accurate measurements so early on. In our most recent scan our babies were measuring just fine so fingers crossed for you.xx
