Egg collection Wednesday 🤞🏼

Had 2nd monitoring scan today, still only 2 measurable follicles. At least they are decent sizes,18mm & 22mm.

Last cycle exactly a year ago I had 7 responding follicles so it’s a huge difference. Maybe age factor at 44? Maybe just luck ?

We have to be positive though and hope for quality over quantity 🤞🏼🍀🙏🏻.

I also had a covid test today, strange times we are living in. Let’s hope 2020 has some good news for me & all my fellow warriors 😘

Great to have an egg recovery buddy. I am in first thing so nervous but got to be positive and believe 🍀🤞🏼🙏🏻

I hope yours goes well, how many follicles are ready for collection ?

I am hoping even though only 2 the 1 golden egg is there 🥚

Overall I had 20 follicles of which 10 are up to size. Last time I had 4 up to size and we got 7 mature eggs so hoping for another 7 at the very least! As you say it's not all about numbers you need just one golden egg to see you through.

Mine's at 8.30am so I'm an early bird too. The early bird hatches the egg perhaps?!

Fantastic, this is an excellent number. Reminds me of my first egg collection when I was 39, resulted in 7 eggs. 3 were viable, I had a double transfer and bingo we got our BFP. Now aged 4 😀 since then my responding follicles have fluctuated between 2 & 5 guess am not getting any younger at 44 now. Just one more miracle please 🙏🏻

Hopefully we both get a little miracle 🤞! My first round was just one disappointment after another, we got less eggs than expected, only one fertilised and then my period started the day before test day which was a big hint as to what the test results were going to be! Feeling very positive this round though so hopefully it goes better!

Huge congrats on your 4 year old.

Trigger shot done last night so I am all ready for tomorrow morning! Not long now! 🤞🤞

At 44 so know this is my last attempt with own eggs 🤞🏼. Although was disappointed initially am also very grateful I have a possibility of 2...but so nervous as in past always had 5-7 mature eggs with 2-3 viable embryos. (Apart from the other similar cycle to this and ended up with 1 and no viable embryo) Trying not to dwell on the numbers.... but....it’s so hard as we overthink everything. My fiancé said ‘take a day off and stop thinking about it ‘ 😂 If only x

2 is great and who knows you might have had another one materialise over the last couple of days. My clinic said yesterday it's not unheard of for follicles that are 10mm to have mature eggs in them so you never know.

Ha I imagine my hubby is on the same wavelength as your fiancé 🤣. I can tell he gets fed up hearing my ramblings but I carry on all the same as it helps me to talk about what's on my mind. Xx

Thanks so much. So just read you had 9 eggs collected wow that’s amazing well done you 👍. Most I managed a few years ago was 7. It’s great to get a good few. I have to accept at 44 my eggs are fewer now but hopefully good quality 🤞🏼

Hi Hope76, just wondering if you managed to collect 2 eggs from the follicles. I've got ec 2mo and only have 2 follicles. Hoping they will get 2 great eggs as both are 21mm

Hi there yes I had 2 eggs collected, both fertilised and ended up with 1 top grade embryo which was transferred at 3 days. Unfortunately my other one didn’t make the cut.

I am well into my 2ww now and forgot just how hard it is. One minute am positive then I got pink /red spotting at start of second week and panicked. However it only last 3 day so 🤞🏼 it was just implantation 🙏🏻

Sounds like you have 2 great sized follicles. Mine were 17mm and 22mm and both had mature eggs.
